Exercise, Education and Environment Project (E3 Project) is a Raleigh-based nonprofit that is working toward the prevention and elimination of childhood obesity. Our mission is to improve the health and wellness of the children in our community through exercise, education and environmental stewardship. We address the problem of childhood obesity by providing a fully supported wellness environment that gives each participant the opportunity and knowledge to choose a healthy lifestyle. Each program emphasizes fun and engaging fitness activities that are augmented with nutrition education as well as the importance of staying in school, recycling and taking care of one’s neighborhood and the environment. The purpose of focusing on these three ideas is to teach healthy habits that can transform the way children see themselves and the world around them.
