Pre-Race Clinic

A.E. Finely YMCA – Saturday May 17th, 3:00-4:00pm

The A.E. Finley YMCA Multisport Team will be hosting a free pre-race clinic at the race site on the day before the race. This clinic is FREE and is highly recommended for anyone new to triathlon and/or first-time Ramblin’ Rose participants.

The SWIM

The swim takes place in the indoor pool. Athletes will be called to the pool area by swim ability, starting with those who rate themselves as a 10, 9, 8, etc. Once you complete 9 lengths of the pool, you’ll exit, and then it’s a short run to the Transition Area.

NOTE: Spectators will not be allowed inside the YMCA.

The BIKE (New Course for 2015)

This lollipop-shaped course begins and ends on Baileywick Road and loops through the gorgeous Stonebridge residential area. There will be minimal traffic to contend with, but do pay attention to upcoming turns. Yes, this bike course has hills, and you can do it!

The RUN

The run course keeps runners on the YMCA campus and close to the spectators. It’s a 2-loop course that is flat and fast, and gives you two chances to take advantage of an aid station.

Special thanks to our Official Run Course Sponsor: New Balance Raleigh-Durham

The FINISH

Located right next to the pool, the finish line/sponsor village is sure to be a big hit and a perfect place to end an amazing event!
