“Amidst a busy season of competing, I knew that the excitement and inspiration involved with a Ramblin’ Rose event would be unparalleled.”

Balancing work and training is a constant battle, but I strongly believe you should make the time to pursue a passion. For me, this means 4 a.m. workouts. Commitment and dedication to a training regimen translates to efficiency and well-developed time-management skills in life outside swimming, biking and running. After six seasons of Olympic and 70.3 racing, my “A” race will be Ironman Chattanooga in September 2014. It’s going to be a long season with a steep learning curve.

“The distances are short and very manageable for a beginner; you’ll be surrounded by lots of first-timers.”
