"Eight Weeks to Race" is the BEST training solution for those aspiring to have a great race on Sunday, April 5th! Elite triathlete and accomplished coach, Stacey Richardson, has developed a training program specifically for duathletes training for the 2009 Carrboro Classic Endurance Sports Festival. Eight Weeks To Race is your ticket to a breakthrough race sure to set the tone for the remainder of your 2009 racing schedule.

About Coach Stacey:
| A swimmer by training, Stacey Richardson is currently in her second year of triathlon coaching. Her background includes over 10 years of coaching both children and adults in age group and master's swimming, special olympics swimming, duathlon, running, and most recently, triathlon. As of 2009, she is the newest member of the Triangle Multisport coaching staff. She currently coaches single-sport athletes in swimming and cycling and most recently coached her first Iron-distance athlete to a top 10 overall finish at the Beach to Battleship Ironman in Wilmington, NC. Her coaching certifications include USA Triathlon, USA Track and Field, USA Cycling, and she is a member of the National Swim Coach's Assocation, ACSA. | ![]() |
| Stacey is currently ranked as a USAT All-American for the 5th consecutive year. In 2007 and 2008, she won the NCTS overall female Elite title. In 2007 she was the North Carolina representative at the Best of the US National Competition. She also took 3rd overall in both 2007 and 2008 at the Age Group National Championship in Portland Oregon and earned a National Age Group Champion title for her 2007 performance. Her most recent standout performance was being the overall female amateur winner at the St. Croix 70.3 for 2008. She intends to return to Kona at her next possible opportunity while balancing coaching, training, and raising two children. As a sidenote, she holds the amateur female course record for the Carrboro Classic Duathlon and intends to improve her race time in 2009. |

Clinic Dates & Info:
Weekly clinics meet 8 times, starting on Sunday, February 1st. Exact meeting times will be communicated by Coach Stacey. Each clinic will last approximately 1.5 hours. These clinics will meet at the McDougle Middle School, the actual race venue through the last weekend of March. Clinics will include guest speakers who will also workout with the group.
