Be a Hero! Tell PPD Your Story!

PPD Beach2Battleship Triathlon Opens Hero Awards for Entries and Nominations, Seeks Triathletes to Share Inspiring Stories of Participating in Clinical Trials

Triathletes are tough. Persevering through grueling training and the most demanding of races with single-minded purpose reflects not simply a desire to compete, but to prevail against the odds. Like a triathlon, the journey back from illness to wellness requires dedication, teamwork and perseverance.

As title sponsor of the PPD Beach2Battleship Triathlon, recognized as one of the world’s best iron distance events, PPD is spotlighting the importance of clinical research in delivering new medicines and therapies to improve health and save lives.

The PPD Beach2Battleship Hero Awards now is accepting entries and nominations to celebrate triathletes who know firsthand the value of clinical trials.

Have you benefited from participating in a clinical trial of a new medicine or therapy? Are you planning to race in the PPD Beach2Battleship Triathlon on October 29, 2011?

If so, tell PPD your story! PPD would like to feature you and your inspiring story to motivate and encourage others who may be facing similar challenges in their lives.

A limited number of entrants selected for the 2011 PPD Beach2Battleship Triathlon Hero Awards will receive paid race entry into the 2011 triathlon, an official race top and recognition during a special awards ceremony during race week.
