Jeremy Bradford’s family will ride alongside him in an RV as he runs 3,000 miles across the country from Los Angeles to New York City raising funds for Children’s Hospital Colorado. Maya, his 10-year old daughter, started out the run with her dad on April 18th,  heading East for the Mojave National Preserve.  She is already an accomplished runner competing in local runs ranging from 5k fun runs to 24-hour events covering up to 37 miles. This run, however, means much more to this father daughter team than your average ultra marathon or relay race.

Jeremy’s daughter, Maya, was born with a condition know as Pierre Robin sequence. This condition results in a cleft palate and a small jaw, which caused Maya difficulties with eating and breathing. At 9 months old, Maya’s palate was surgically repaired at the Children’s Hospital Colorado giving her new life.

As an accomplished ultra runner, Jeremy always dreamed of putting his amazing endurance to work in a charitable transcontinental run. With the support of his employer, HomeAdvisor.com, Jeremy has the opportunity to pursue his dream of running across the United States in under 60 days to help raise funds for the Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic at Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation where Maya received attention for her condition as a baby.

“It was a long dream of mine to help out the institution that turned things around for my daughter, I would love to see some folks come and run with us, and celebrate family with us, ”Jeremy said.
