UCI Road World Championships
Hoping for a Worlds start, Matthew Busche recently previewed the UCI Road World Championships race course. Busche, who rides for Trek Factory Racing, is the current US National Road Race Champion. The Official US Cycling Selection Committee meets on Sept 4th to set the final designation for riders.
The Road World Championships are kicking off an historic nine days of bike racing, live music, great food and much more with an opening ceremony taking place on Brown’s Island Friday, September 18 at 6:30 p.m. Highlights of the ceremony include a concert performance by the Richmond Symphony. The National Anthem will be performed by Richmond’s own “American Idol” finalist, Rayvon Owen and the Richmond Symphony Chorus.
