Children ages 7 to 12 will grab their running shoes, swim goggles and bike helmets to join in the fight against children’s cancers during the Applebee’s Kids Helping Kids Triathlon on Oct. 12, benefiting The V Foundation for Cancer Research.®

The Applebee’s Kids Helping Kids Triathlon brings together children of all experience levels to race against their friends, siblings and classmates through an achievable yet challenging course.

This fun-filled day gives kids the opportunity to enjoy healthy, physical activity while giving back to children in their own community. Proceeds will benefit The V Foundation to continue funding pediatric cancer research at Duke Children’s Hospital.

The event will also feature fun activities and games for parents and children of all ages.

Registration is now open at http://kidshelpingkidstri.racesonline.com.  Once registered, participants are encouraged to get their friends, neighbors and family involved by creating a fundraising page.
