On your mark! Get set! Go! Run the full span of the Neuse River Bridge – 65 feet in the air – in our 10k or half-marathon. If you prefer not to run quite so far, then try the fast and flat 5k across the draw bridge and through scenic downtown historic New Bern, N.C.

This year’s Bridge Run keeps the same straight line finish, but ends just in front of the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center, where all of the post-race festivities are – everything from runners’ massages to beverages and hot food and live music. The Neuse River Bridge Run is pleased to announce the selection of Game On Events & Timing, who has chosen to partner with Precision Race to time this year’s Bridge Run with the best technology available to time racing events. The two companies have accurately timed thousands of athletes, from beginners to world champions, in a variety of race events and are known for the speed in which they deliver results.

Once again the race will have the Pasta Push-Off dinner presented in part by Eastern Carolina Dermatology, BeActive, BeHealthy Expo and SuperKids Fun Run on Friday evening. The expo will continue on Saturday along with a post-race celebration complete with live music by Bryan Mayer, massages and stretches from Carolina Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and Axelson Chiropractic along with refreshment from RA Jeffrey’s and Michelob Ultra, Famous Restaurant, Bojangles, Maola Milk & Ice Cream and Coca-Cola.

All races are a unit of the 2013 Semper Fit Marine Corps Grand Prix Race Series and the 5k is a Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Blue Points race. Register online today at www.sportoften.com.
