The infamous pink and purple team kits of the SpokesWomen Syndicate were hard to miss as their riders were out in force at the Tour de Moore and Brick City Criterium this weekend, mixing it up and having fun with the best of the best!
Tour De Moore proved to be as flat and fast as promised, with a stellar 3rd place finish for our very own Caroline Moakley in the 1/2/3 field, and a 2nd place for SWS mentor, Bergen Watterson. Chris Tommerdahl had a strong group finish and Cat 4 riders Angelina Stevens and Christy Quirk finished 9th and 12th respectively. The entire women’s team came out on Sunday’s crit in Sanford. In addition to volunteering around all of the races, driving the pace car, and networking with other racers, the SWS squad raced their hearts out at speeds averaging 25mph! Thanks to our sponsor, Parcycles, for making the Brick City crit such a success!
SpokesWomen Syndicate is an entirely female cycling team based in Chapel Hill, NC.
