Arctic Enema, Kiss of Mud, and Electric Shop Therapy are just a few of the probably not so tongue-in-cheek named obstacles at a typical mud run. As growth in obstacle course racing continues to explode, mud run race directors are sticking to what seems to be the only uniform requirement of designing a race: make misery fun. Truthfully, many mud runs have a “complete or compete” philosophy that allows participants to make the course as hard or as easy as they want it to be. But no matter how grueling you choose to make your next mud run or obstacle course race, one thing is for sure, you’ll have a great story to tell at the office on Monday.
