I along with the rest of the Endurance team kicked off the opening of registration for the 2010 Tar Heel 10 Miler and Fleet Feet Sports 4-Mile Run yesterday with a little course preview. Steve, Thys, Mandy, Justin, Casey and Amy all joined in for what is sure to be a new Endurance Magazine tradition.
The weather was perfect and we all ran a comfortable 9-minute per mile pace on the amazing course. The 10-mile course has some small rolling hills early on, a few good flat stretches, and a nice leg-warming hill at about mile 9 or so. Then of course there's the super-cool finish inside Kenan Stadium!
The race already has a lot of participants from Chapel Hill and it's no wonder - the course is beautiful. If you don't live in Chapel Hill, you should at least run there - let's say maybe on April 10, 2010? That would be a great day for either a 10-mile or 4-mile run, in my opinion.
