Registration:
Available on packet pick-up day and on race day from 6:00-7:00 AM.  Please plan to arrive early. 

Expedite race day registration by completing the paper registration form beforehand.  Make sure you bring cash or a personal check made out to "Endurance Magazine" with you when you register.  DO NOT mail registrations to Endurance Magazine before the event.  

Rules:
NO ID = NO RACE (NO EXCEPTIONS!)
Athletes may only pick up their own packets. Under no circumstances may an athlete pick up a packet for another person.

Refunds/Transfers:

Registration fees are non-refundable.  Event registrations are non-transferable between individuals, events, or years.

Important Race Day Information: 

Race Start Time:
7:30 AM.  The Tar Heel 10 Miler starts first, followed by the Franklin 5000 a few minutes later.

Arrival Time:
Arrive at the starting line on Stadium Drive by no later than 7:00 AM.  If you are picking up your race packet or registering on the morning of the race, you are strongly encouraged to arrive at 6:00 AM.

Parking:
This is a point-to-point race.  To park near the finish, use the downtown lot on Rosemary Street, just east of Columbia Street [
map].  To park near the start, use the visitors parking lot on HWY54/Raleigh Rd just east of Country Club Road [map].  You may also park at the Rams Head Parking Deck on the campus of UNC.  For additional parking information, please refer to the UNC Parking MapNote: the Bell Tower parking lot near Kenan Stadium is not available due to construction.  Do not park in private lots as towing will be strictly enforced.

Pre-Race Instructions/Meeting:
A brief meeting will be given 10 minutes prior to the race start. Athletes for all races should plan to be there as any last minute instructions will be given and any last minute announcements made.  The race will start at 7:30 AM sharp! 

Timing:
This is a chip-timed event.   

No Headphones / No Baby Strollers:
Since this is a USA Track & Field event, the use of headphones and the pushing of baby strollers is not permitted.

Minimum Pace:
For those runners not able to maintain a 12:00/mile pace, we kindly ask that you use sidewalks wherever possible.    

Results & Awards:
The award ceremony will take place as soon as final results are available.  Final results will be posted on the website within 24 hours of the race. Awards will NOT be mailed out – if you can’t be present to collect your award, please make arrangements to have someone pick it up for you.
