Carrboro Classic Long Course Duathlon selected as World Championships Qualifier!

DURHAM,N.C.–FEBRUARY 13, 2008–USA Triathlon just announced that the 2008 Carrboro Classic Long Course Duathlon Regional Championships, part of the Carrboro Classic Endurance Sports Festival held in Carrboro, NC, has been selected as one of only four long course duathlons in the country to offer Long Course Duathlon World Championships (Team USA) qualifying slots. The Long Course Duathlon World Championships will take place in Geel, Belgium on August 10.Scheduled for April 6th 2008, the Carrboro Classic Endurance Sports Festival, produced by Endurance Magazine, will bring hundreds of high-caliber runner-cyclist athletes together from across the country to compete for these highly-sought-after qualifying slots. Bob Wendling, Vice-president, USAT-Mid-Atlantic Board of Directors described the Carrboro Classic as one that “met all of the requirements we look for in selecting a top-notch Championship venue.”
Carrboro Classic Selected to Host USAT Duathlon Regional Championships!
DURHAM,N.C.–JANUARY 15, 2007–USA Triathlon just announced that Carrboro, NC, home of the Carrboro Classic Endurance Sports Festival, will host the 2008 Mid-Atlantic region’s Long Course Duathlon Championships.
Scheduled for April 6th 2008, the Carrboro Classic Endurance Sports Festival, produced by Endurance Magazine, will bring hundreds of high-caliber runner-cyclist athletes together to compete for the regional championship title. Athletes will travel from West Virginia, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and across North Carolina.
“There was intense competition in many categories,” stated Bob Wendling, Vice-president, USAT-Mid-Atlantic Board of Directors, “and the Carrboro Classic met all of the requirements we look for in selecting a top-notch Championship venue.
